Asia Travel Tech Leader Greg Duffell Joins Tineri Board

Tineri, one of Asia’s most exciting B2B mobile travel technology startups, is delighted to announce the addition of experienced travel and technology leader Greg Duffell to its board of directors.

Tineri, a mobile itinerary and communications platform for tour operators and other travel providers, will be beta launching in the next few weeks, and Duffell has joined the company’s board to share his huge experience in the world of travel, technology and business processes.

Duffell began his career in travel with Budget Rent-a-Car, spending 11 years with the car rental specialist and eventually rising to Regional Director for Asia-Pacific. He also spent 3 years as Managing Director of Thomas Cook Worldwide Network; held senior roles at Southeast Asia DMC Indochina Services (CEO), regional travel organisation PATA (CEO) and tour operator software specialist Illusions (VP of Sales); and has been involved in launching several technology startups in Asia and Silicon Valley including Electric Motor Corporation, Migo Software, and TripXtra. In his role as a freelance consultant he has helped numerous travel businesses including dnata Travel, SOTA, WhereisWhere and Golfasian.

Tim Russell, Tineri’s Founder & CEO, says: “We’re delighted to welcome Greg onto our board. As an informal advisor, he’s been a mine of useful advice, ideas and contacts since we started work on the project earlier this year. His years of travel and tech experience in Asia and beyond, and his huge network, are invaluable to a small startup like Tineri and we look forward to working with him in the coming months and years.”

Duffell is equally happy to be joining an exciting new travel tech business. “I’m a huge fan of making life easier for the customer, so carrying sheets of paper with itinerary, maps, tickets and copies of passports just isn’t convenient – let alone how many trees it kills! A full e-itinerary with real-time updates and communications between agent and travellers is essential on any tour and, Tim & team has created a fantastic, easy-to-use app for both the customers and the tour operators. I’m excited to be involved.”

Tineri beta launches in early December. To find out more and to register for the beta version, visit or email Tim Russell on
