Mobile ads, user generated data and instant booking are the trends to watch in travel


Respected and unofficial tech industry bellwether Mary Meeker from KPCB recently released her 20th Internet Trends Report. Tnooz covered it here, but I haven’t another take on some of its findings.  Since the first report in 1995, we have seen some major shifts in our day-to-day lives as a result of online technologies.

The travel industry has been involved in the technology revolution from the very beginning and it is interesting to evaluate some of the trends that might influence its future. Here, I’ll try to cover some of the most important trends which will define different aspects of online travel industry in near future. –
